At Needham Youth Field Hockey, we are very fortunate to have such amazing volunteer student athletes assist us with coaching. Our student coaches are current Needham High School students who are in the field hockey Program; most playing at the JV or Varsity level and were hand selected with great care. They are natural leaders, who have proven their excellence as student athletes and all have prior experience working with young children. We would like to take the opportunity for you to get to know them a bit too!
We start with Coach Ali who is pictured here with her grandmother, ( who by the way, was also a field hockey player herself; at Brookline High School!) Ali is Freshman who just finished up her first year playing field hockey. Ali played on defense and improved leaps and bounds each week! She is a true team player; always willing to help when needed and was always one of the last off the field every day helping to collect gear and clean up the field. She is a pleasure to have around and is especially good with young children, as she has babysat for several years and also works at a daycare center after school. The kids love being around her and we are thrilled to have her on board!
